This cherished Edwardian residence in Northcote was house to an increasing household. To stay within the space the home wanted to adapt and evolve from a home for 2 to a house for six. The entrance two current bedrooms stay and a brand new extension prolonged out and up.
Modern household residing, consolation and performance had been on the coronary heart of our strategy, and centred round creating the chance for a person or a gaggle to sit down, play, eat, learn or chat in a single open plan house.
The rear façade opens as much as the north going through yard and takes benefit of views to the backyard and the sky. Our site-responsive design on the present heritage footprint is delicate to its surrounds but deliberate in its juxtaposition of the previous with the brand new.
A bit like two distinct sibling personalities, these architectural counterparts together with interconnected indoor and out of doors areas permit for each retreat and reunion.
