Galerie Philia has unveiled Héritages, an exhibition on the Le Corbusier-designed Cité Radieuse constructing that includes work by designers reminiscent of Rick Owens that reply to the Swiss-French architect’s theories of modernism.
Héritages presents work by eight worldwide designers and 7 visible artists that reference the modernist theories pioneered by Le Corbusier, whose designs are identified for his or her performance and minimalism.
Galerie Philia joined forces with the Parisian arts journal Eclipse to curate the exhibition at Le Corbusier’s iconic Cité Radieuse constructing in Marseille, which features a vary of each design and artwork.
Unfold throughout two rooms in an residence, the exhibited designers reply to the theme of “resonances” with work that’s closely influenced by Le Corbusier’s theories, whereas the artists are guided by the theme of “dissonances” and current work that opposes the theories.

Additionally featured on this area are items reminiscent of a chunky daybed by Belgian designer Arno Declercq crafted from patinated and uncooked metal with sheep’s wool.
Contrastingly, the “dissonances” room contains items by artists that intend to query Le Corbusier’s theories. For instance, artist Flora Temnouche created three summary oil work that includes natural or curved varieties with gentle traces.
